BCI NSW Forum Meeting – Tuesday 4^th September 2008 The third BCI NSW Forum Meeting for 2008 will be held on Thursday 4th September 2008. The meeting will run from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, at a location in the Sydney CBD. In keeping with our commitment to invite speakers on topical and practical issues, we are delighted to confirm the following two presentations: 1) Business Continuity Management Training and the Links to Risk Management Training and Culture Brian Williams MBCI. Business Continuity and Risk Management Officer at Delta Electricity will present on the approach taken by Delta Electricity to business continuity training, the use of IT systems as a training tool and the interaction with training records. Brian will also explain how the BCM training aligns with the broader risk management training and culture at Delta Electricity. 2) “I think we may have a problem?” – A case study of a telephone bomb threat, its impact and response Guy Gryspeerdt, Risk Consultant from ResilienceandRiskManagement.com, will present a case study of a telephone bomb threat incident made to a major UK business services organisation in London. The presentation will provide an overview of the incident and explain what went well in the incident response, what could have been better and what was learnt from the incident to help improve the organisation’s crisis plans and procedures. Guy will also outline issues regarding interaction with the emergency services and neighbouring organisations. To enable our hosts to manage venue security arrangements, late responses may not be accepted after this date.
